Dr. Archer completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia), a renowned institution known for its exceptional Internal Medicine training program. Throughout his rigorous training, Dr. Archer’s talent shone brightly, earning him the prestigious “Hospitalist Resident of the Year” award.
After his time at Columbia, Dr. Archer found solace in the idyllic calm of Connecticut’s Candlewood Lake, where he settled down with his wife, Joan, and their two sons. It was at Greenwich Hospital that Dr. Archer’s clinical skills and leadership capabilities flourished, leading to his prominent roles as Chair of Medicine and Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program, where he dedicated himself to enhancing the quality of patient care and improving the education of future physicians.
In addition to his demanding clinical responsibilities, Dr. Archer actively contributes to the academic community as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College.
When Dr. Archer isn’t caring for patients and leading his teams, he can be found enjoying moments with his family, where they engage in outdoor adventures, such as exploring the beauty of Candlewood Lake, indulging in recreational sports, and gliding down the slopes during the winter months. Dr. Archer also likes to test his mettle in triathlons of varying distances.
